SafeTracker ("we", "our", "us"), operated by Phoenix Secure, provides a GPS vehicle-tracking application (the "App"). This policy explains what information the App handles and why.

Information we collect

Account information: the username you use to sign in (issued by your GPS service provider) and related account identifiers.
Vehicle location data: the real-time and historical GPS location, speed, ignition status and trip data of the vehicles associated with your account. This data originates from the GPS devices installed in those vehicles.
Device location (optional): if you grant permission, the App uses your phone's location to centre the live map on your position and to share your location when you choose to.
Device & log information: basic technical data (app version, device model, and diagnostic logs) needed to operate and troubleshoot the service.
Push token: a Firebase Cloud Messaging token so we can deliver alerts and notifications to your device.

How we use information

To show the live status and location of your vehicles on a map.
To generate trip, history, and other reports you request.
To send alerts, notifications, and SOS messages.
To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the App.

How information is shared

With you and authorized users of the same account.
With service providers who help us run the service (e.g. mapping and push-notification providers such as Google) strictly to provide these functions.
For legal reasons, if required by applicable law.
We do not sell your personal information.

Third-party services

The App uses Google Maps (mapping) and Firebase Cloud Messaging (notifications). Their handling of data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Data retention

Location and trip data are retained for as long as your account is active or as required to provide the service, then deleted or anonymised in line with our service agreement.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Your choices

You can revoke the App's location permission at any time in your device settings (some features that rely on your phone's location will stop working).

Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
